Abdul Rahman Awl is an accomplished international banker with extensive industry experience in North America, Africa, Asia and the Middle East.  As Managing Director of DSIAdvisors, a consulting firm specializing in investment structuring, organization transformation and strategy development, he advises clients across many sectors and regions. He has particularly deep experience in private sector development in emerging countries. 

 

He has served in a variety of leadership positions at commercial, investment and development banks, including the African Export Import Bank and African Development Bank, where he established and managed an investment fund to promote private enterprise throughout the continent.  

 

He has spearheaded the promotion and establishment of a number of financial institutions in including banks, investment funds, fintech companies, eCommerce and supply-chain finance platforms. He serves on the board of a number of business corporations and non-profit organizations.
