Andrew Clark

Andrew Clark is an economics graduate of the University of Toronto and the London School of Economics.

 

Andrew began his career working as a Junior Professional Officer with the United Nations Development Programme in Dakar, Senegal. Subsequently he worked as a researcher with the North-South Institute with his main research area being Canadian development policy with a particular focus on Africa.

​

He joined the Canadian International Development Agency in 1997 working in both Multilateral and Policy Branches over the years. From 2011 to 2015 Andrew served as an Advisor to Canada’s Executive Director at the World Bank in Washington, DC.  From 2015 to 2019 he served as the Director of Economic Growth and International Financial Institutions Division at Global Affairs Canada.  Since 2019, he has been the Director of Kenya, Somalia and South Africa Development Division.
