For the past two decades, Lorrie has worked in the field of Career Management— initially as a career coach, to switching to the recruitment side for a large financial corporation. As a Senior Recruiter, she implemented various strategies to increase diverse representation within the organization, in particular with the Indigenous community and persons with disabilities. Since returning to McGill University, she is responsible for outreach to employers interested in recruiting new grad talent.
Lorrie currently sits on the Anti-Black Racism HR Working Group at McGill, as well as spearheaded the current EDI Industry Advisory Board for Career Management at the Desautels Faculty.
She is passionate about equity, diversity and inclusion, and doing whatever she can to move the dial forward to support a more inclusive workplace.
