Bior was born in South Sudan and grew up in Kenya where he completed his primary and secondary education. He graduated from high school in 2013 as the best student in his district and that won him a spot in the Equity Leaders Program, run by the Equity Group Foundation in Kenya. In 2015, Bior was awarded the MasterCard Foundation Scholarship to McGill University where he recently graduated with a BA degree in Economics. Bior previously served as the Vice President of the McGill African Students Society (MASS) during his time at McGill. He is currently working on an original research project at Building 21 of McGill University; Looking at the impact of burial practices on the environment and especially in dense urban centers. Bior is passionate about Food Security, sustainable agricultural practices, and development initiatives that can improve the livelihoods and living standards of the rural populations.
