Okenna Obi-Njoku
PhD Candidate at McGill University

Okenna Obi-Njoku is currently a PhD candidate in the department of Bioresource Engineering, McGill University working on developing mathematical models to estimate greenhouse gas emissions from agricultural soils. Prior to his PhD, he concurrently worked as a university lecturer and ran a company, Jone Agricultural Company Ltd, Nigeria. His company specializes in building integrated agricultural systems, processing biomass for food and fuel uses, and conducting sales of agricultural machines and raw materials. He has vast experience in agricultural commodity trading on a business to business level and retail marketing. In 2018, agricultural supply chain start-up, JPondE, won a McGill Dobson Cup prize.
